Realized
Summer 2024 Realized combines stop-motion animation with live string quartet music to imagine our collective future. With animated films and stories inspired by a series of workshops with Maine high school students, Realized asks us to reflect on the present and imagine what a resilient, sustainable, and equitable future on this planet could look like 50 years from now. This live performance took place at Maine Coast Semester School and was one of 12 performances of Realized throughout the state in 2024. |

Excerpt from Rise Up! Portland
Gulf of Maine Research Institute, May 2023 Rise Up! Portland combines live music, film, and spoken word to explore the impacts of sea level rise on the Bayside and Commercial Street communities in Portland, Maine. Featuring film by Luke Fatora, this excerpt depicts Portland in the present while reimagining a future that copes with coastal flooding and sea level rise. The film animation is based on the US Interagency Task Force's "high" sea level rise projections for Portland. Under a high scenario, sea levels will rise 6 feet by 2100. |
